Other Ceremonies

Naming Ceremonies

Many people today choose to have a naming ceremony rather than a church baptism or christening.

Naming ceremonies may be held for babies and also for older children. Some adults celebrate their own change of name with a special event!

It is wide open for you to choose the type of ceremony you would like. The ceremony should still have the respect and sincerity that such an occasion warrants.

I design, in conjunction with parent/s, naming ceremonies which are personal, warm and memorable. I can advise you about the format and can provide you with readings and ideas that will make this a very personal and meaningful ceremony for you and for the child (and for your guests).

I would just like to say that you did a wonderful job with Heather’s naming day. It was such a beautiful day. – MJ 2016

Commitment Ceremonies

Sometimes a marriage ceremony is not an option and many couples choose instead to have a commitment ceremony to demonstrate their love and trust in each other. As this ceremony does not have the legal, binding nature of a marriage, the couple may choose to make whatever loving statement they want.

I can help you design a warm and meaningful ceremony that celebrates the commitment you want to make to each other.

Renewal of Vows

Many couples reaffirm their commitment to each other on anniversaries or other special occasions, by re-visiting their marriage vows. This is such a lovely way to celebrate the marriage and their love for each other. This ceremony can take whatever form you like but the essential ingredient is a public re-iteration of the original marriage vows (it always brings a tear to the eyes!)

I would love to help you plan such a wonderful occasion – a renewal of vows makes a great marriage even better!
